It's time to leave the resort for a tour and see what lies outside the compound that has surrounded us. We board a bus and head off to zip line. Now, granted, ive gone on zip lining trips before- but I have never actually zip lined. Ive always chickened out before it started, fearful that the jarring would be too much for my back. Here they have a spooling break system that slows you down before you 'hit' the end - so - I give it a try.
We hook up and float effortlessly down 6 different zip lines-- the last one over a quarter mile in length.
We are high in the sky and the views are breathtaking. Nature surrounds us. Is this the same world I am in when I am stuck at my desk doing paperwork? I am overwhelmed by the incredible contrast from work life to vacation life. So- how does one live life on permanent vacation- I am asking myself.
We crawl through a cavern and hike down a little trail to arrive at a natural cave.
The water is clear and crystalline. It sparkles. Lights flicker through the water and it changes color. Oh my my my -the beauty takes your breath away. There really are no words to describe the cool refreshing water that soaked into my hot tired muscles.
Vince joins me in the frigidly cold water and we stare at the walls of the cave as the light flickers over them. This is peace. This is serenity. Silence.
We reboard the bus for our trip back. We taped a segment for HomeMade Money and feel both peace and accomplishment all wrapped into one.
The day is far from over. The Zen pool and beach await us. Zen Pool and beach area is an over 18 area of Club Med that promised peace and tranquility. We settle into a beach chair and Vince begins writing.
He reads me what he's written and my eyes tear up. It is incredible. It will free many people from the chains that bind them.
In chase of the adventure- go create your journey.
