10 Great DATE ESCAPE Ideas for DFW
1. ReUnion Tower- www.reuniontower.com
High atop Dallas is a view that definitely is an escape from the mundane. This 360 degree view of Dallas allows a magnificent view of the city. Every hour, the globe rotates 360 degrees, allowing for an ever changing view of the beautiful city. My favorite time of night is to go while it is still an hour of light left. I love watching the view and then, as the sun sets, viewing that same view in the dark with a city covered by lights.
The bar is comfortable, the drinks and food is amazing, and you can sit and enjoy a beautiful view and a chance to get away from the average every day. I like this destination for dreaming. This is the spot that Vince and I booked our trip to Kauai, reserved hiking passes to the Kalalau Trail, and have dreamed up numerous vacation destinations. The Expresso Martini is our favorite. Try the green bean appetizer.
2. The ESCAPE ROOM http://www.1hour2escape.com/
Gather your friends and go to the Lewisville 1 Hour to Escape. These ‘escape’ rooms are popping up around the country and are a fun way to get back into the fun and enjoyment of game playing. You will be locked into a room with only your ingenuity to get you out. Solve puzzles, open locks, and figure out the way ‘out’ of your room. This definitely keeps your mind off of the mundane and gets you into enjoying simple fun. Watch your friends in their most competitive nature yet. We went with a group of us and 2 other couples. Tammy Kling, a friend of ours invited us and it was a blast. Each room has a different theme. Our room was a bank heist. We had to break into a bank, open the vault and steal as much as we could in the allotted time. Try it, you’ll have a blast.

Primos on the lake in Garland, and Glorias outdoor dining in Rockwall are two examples of Lake front dining that make you feel like you’ve escaped the norm and are suddenly in a resort town experience life on vacation.
Find Primos on the web at : http://primosdallas.com/ Even when I didn’t have a date, this was one of my favorite escapes to go with my girlfriends.
And a movie on the Harbour makes for a great escape. The European fountain in front of the lake is beautiful. You’ll not get a chance to ever be here where you do not see people taking pictures in front of this grand fountain. Walk the lake front. Feed the ducks. Have a drink at Dodie’s or Three Sheets. Sit at Goria’s and watch the sail boats. You’ll feel like you are on vacation if only for a few hours.
